Sometimes it’s a little difficult to identify a uniquely Canadian cuisine for a number of reasons I cover in the page on Canadian food.
There are a few foods and dishes that I consider to be unique to Canada, especially some French Canadian and seasonal and regional foods like fiddleheads, that I am including in this recipes index, with many more of the dishes I grew up on in the Seasonal and Comfort Food Recipes and the Barbecue Recipes Indices.
Here are just a few Canadian Recipes you’ll find here at Recipe for Travel.
- Homemade Granola with Canadian Maple Syrup
- Roast Lamb from Ontario, with Fennel and Garlic
- Ontario Lamb Roast – Moroccan Style
- Elk Recipes!
- Whole Stuffed Rainbow Trout
- …and more great fresh lake fish and Atlantic and Pacific Salmon recipes for the barbecue to come!
- Tourtiere
- Ham and Split Pea Soup (a favourite in the crockpot)
- Fiddleheads and Greens Casserole with Four Cheeses
- Poutine
